The following is a non-exhaustive list of key features added to c9 since the upgrade from c8 to c9. c9 represents a rebuild and modernisation of the foundations of c8; while preserving all of the c8 screens and behaviour; so the user experience and feel of the product is almost exactly the same. As such c8 to c9 is smooth transition with minimal learning. The modernisation opens up many new opportunities of which we have only exploited a small fraction of so far.

Notifications
Ability to send an SMS to customers when a job is marked complete, and when ordered parts have arrived. Option in setup.

Able to email invoices and statements; and any other report.

Automated SMS reminders for booked workshop jobs and workshop recalls (bikes due for service based on date)

Printing and Reporting
Possible to print invoices that belong to the statement when doing a statement print. Set in Accounts, on a customer by customer basis.

Possible export a report as a PDF file or as a data CSV File.

Nearly 100 different reports on various things such as activity, profitability, tax reporting, stocking etc.

Ability to scope and purchase be-spoke, business specific advanced reports from c9

Spares

Online web shopping integrated back into point of sale

Integrated fiche diagrams for many popular suppliers; integrated into online shopping and point of sale

Electronic submission and receive of spare parts orders.

Allow deposits to be put against cash accounts.

Ability to sell parts at cost. Button on POS. Cost has an overhead markup applied, set in setup, to cover overheads. Default is 17%.

Ability to generate spares quotes.

Ability to set aside parts for later invoicing/pickup.  i.e. phone/fax orders and laybys

When setting markups on a franchise an overriding minimum markup % may be set so that parts with low stock/daily discount rates will still be profitable.

Loading price files now much more simple. Allows direct importing of zipped files without first unzipping. Also excel and CSV files directly.

More sophisticated restocking recommendation and maxqty checking analysis tools

A new optional, centralised view of spares orders (orderbook).  Makes assessing state of spares orders easier

Single button press in point of sale inventory check automatically checks availability of the part from other dealers running c9 and availability from many popular  suppliers.

Rapid and intuitive part searching, e.g. show all tyres of certain dimenions by typing in the dimensions

Workshop
Estimates now easier to add parts to.

Job based on estimate will now automatically sell/order spares upon conversion to job.

Redesigned workshop management screen provides a single overview of status of the workshop; including scheduling tooling and weekly planning. Improve overall view of the workshop and workshop planning process.

Enhanced tooling to better track productivity within the workshop. e.g. report on times spent vs time billed on jobs.

Added notion of a booked job as opposed to a job in progress.

Added ability to discriminate between floor assembly and pre sales assembly

Unit Sales

Accurate profit taking on sale line items. i.e. document/inspection fees etc

Free listing of second hand bikes on c9's own aggregate website : aussiebikefinder.com.au

Ability to list automatically on bikesales.com.au and have listings automatically removed upon sale of a unit

Accounting and Information access
Quickbooks, MYOB and Xero integration with received invoices.

Lots of new reports and charts under the Business option.

Cash till report now enhanced.

Allow (optional) payment methods on payments and sales to make till balance easier.

Clerk keys now have option to allow (or not) account limits to be overwritten.

New extra tabs available when view customers in accounts.

Columns on statement now no longer show 60 & 90 days, but “overdue”.

Phonebook now on main menu, shows customers and suppliers numbers. Ability to add these numbers now in suppliers and franchises.
