A number of useful integrations into WPS built into c9 (Birdman)

1. Send Orders

Insteasd of printing orders for WPS you can export them directly.  Instead of 'print' select export on a WPS order. Then select Whites Power Sports as export method.

selmethod

Then all you need to do is provide your email and password used to access WPS website.  C9 will memorize these so you only need to provide once. Once order is submitted that is it, click OK and you are done.

export

You'll see following on progress and success. That's it, order is sent already - no need to mess with files or websites or anything like that.

2. Import Price File

Importing price file for WPS will grab price file direct from WPS, no need to mess with price file attachments. Spares -> Utilities -> Import Price file.

Select import method of WPS, then provide your WPS website username/Password.

3. Query Availability

Magician for WPS works as well. In point of sale, on a WPS product press F12 to query.  System may ask you for WPS username and password which it will then memorize.  It will show you availability at WPS and for other c9 dealers as well.

Importing Husky Price files March 11, 2016 barney

Butmac have given C9 permission to distribute price files.

A couple of fine points on the price file that is available:

  • The part numbers do not have spaces in them. Once Butmac have a new file with spaces back in them we will get it on the go
  • A very small number of parts (<40) may not supercede correctly. Again will patch as soon as a fix is available to us

To setup.

  • Goto spares -> utilities -> import price file.
  • Select your Husqvarna Franchise in c9
  • Select import option 'C9 Central Repository Price Files'
  • Select Husqvarna from the list
  • Click OK and let it run through, no need to key in discount codes, map columns etc.

Setting up PC-EFTPOS March 9, 2016 barney

Following describes how to get PC-EFTPOS integrated into c9.

Assumes you have had people setup PC-EFTPOS and verified it is working via PC-EFTPOS client control panel thingo and that you have docket printers working on c9.

Setting up on same computer where PC-EFTPOS gear is plugged in.

Setup -> Main Setup Screen -> EFTPOS / Paypal

pceftpos_1

  • Click Enabled PCEFTPOS
  • Leave Client Host/PORT exactly as it is. Do not change these
  • Click on button : Configure PC-EFTPOS client that is installed on this PC.
    • This is only done on the computer where the equipment is physically installed
    • Computer needs to be rebooted after this change for it to have any effect
    • Sometimes this step does not work.  It is trying to insert registry keys to change behaviour of PC-EFTPOS and often c9 will be running with a permission level that disallows it from making such changes. PC-EFTPOS should make these configuration/dialog options, but for some unexplained reason they do not, it is them that make this process unnecessarily hard, not c9 🙁 . The registry keys your local IT support people might need to add are:

32bit Windows
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\CullenSoftwareDesign\EFTCLIENT\CLIENT
SubKey: IP_INTERFACE_PORT
Value: 8900 decimal (22c4 Hex) DWORD

64bit Windows
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\CullenSoftwareDesign\EFTCLIENT\CLIENT
SubKey: IP_INTERFACE_PORT
Value: 8900 decimal (22c4 Hex) DWORD

  • Configure receipt printing way you want.
  • If you want to enable MOTO : click on Allow MOTO option. Especially useful if you are processing web orders.

Next, you need to tell c9 which payment instrument triggers PC-EFTPOS.  In Payments section, tick 'E' for EFTPOS integration for the correct option

pceftpos_2

Thats it. Now when you do a sale with eftpos you will see eftpos sync screen, like this in c9:

pceftpos_3

Setting up on different computer to where PC-EFTPOS gear is plugged in.

This step needs local IT hardware/network support.

  • On computer with PC-EFTPOS Gear:
    • Make sure it has a static IP address
    • Configure firewall to allow traffic in on port 8900
  • On remote computer. in c9
    • Setup -> Main Setup Screen -> EFTPOS / Paypal
      • Click Enabled PCEFTPOS
      • Change IP address to IP address/hostname of computer with the equipment installed
      • Configure receipt print settings as desired

Manufacturer recalls February 9, 2016 barney

The easiest way to track down bikes that your supplier has issued a recall for is to use c9 miner to query for bikes.

We've just added a new query to hopefully make this more accessible.

Miner. Press "Load Standard Query" button.

Under units is a new standard query: supplier recall finder.

recall_sel

Press F4 and feed in filter details like below. System will show all all matching current units, whether it's floor stock or owned by customers.

The following proscribes a process for managing a tradein where the tradein unit being purchased has negative equity.

Worked Example

  • Buying a new Suzuki for $15000 + GST + ORC (Victoria demoed below)
  • Trading in a Honda for $3000 +GST (intend to resell for 3500)
  • Honda has finance owing of $4000

Consider a typical price file, it contains spare parts and accessories. Often you will want to price them differently. e.g.:

  • Set spares are our margins ontop of RRP, i.e. +100% for <$2, +50% < $10 etc.
  • Set accessories to RRP

C9 for some time has supported this manually (https://c8software.com.au/wp/2013/09/release-4-380/),  but you need to do it one part at a time, with a franchise with over 100k+ parts, might take a while.

C9 now allows you to define rules while importing new price files to automatically categorise price break schemes based on information in the imported price file.

Husky (Butmac) Parts Ordering December 14, 2015 barney

As we understand it, new systems are being rolled out today for Husky dealers.

C9 includes some changes to help streamline ordering of spares. Instead of manually having to key parts into AMCAP you can now press a button in c9 and the order (hopefully) will be delivered directly to Butmac. The following post explains this.

Caution.  I am of the view that what is described below has not been tested nearly enough in the past couple of weeks by all people involved (including us) to have complete confidence in the new ordering solution.  I urge all users of this new feature to followup with Butmac directly to confirm your orders have actually being received in full. Give it a few minutes at least before following up. As I understand it, it might take a few minutes for orders uploaded via c9 to clear/process. This precaution should only be necessary for the next couple of weeks while new system is settled in.

In c9, instead of selecting print order. Select export order.

  • Orderbook
  • Highlight active order you want to send.
  • Select Send
  • Select Export Order

husky_ob

Now select export method of Butmac AX. You might need to select button 'Change Export method'.

husky_em

Then configure export (initially).

husky_export

  • Select Husky
  • Key in your account code. (Contact Butmac if unsure what this is)
  • Select option 'direct to butmac'
  • Click OK.

Order will be sent, no further action required. (But followup to confirm order was indeed received until you have confidence that the technology is reliable)
